Lean into the potent Leo energy and the solar eclipse on the New Sturgeon Moon!
The August moon is known as the Sturgeon Moon, named for ancient fish that live at the bottoms of oceans, rivers, and lakes. Down there in the deep darkness, they rely on electrical and chemical signals to navigate their world and seek out nourishment, stirring up the sediment at the bottom of the water to find the nuggets of sustenance they are seeking.
We'll draw on these themes and connect with the astrological influences of the moment—both the energy of Leo season, which invites us to be in the spotlight and to be seen, and the powerful energy of the full solar eclipse, which invites us to interrupt the way we have seen ourselves and have been seen by others. We will explore the ways we keep ourselves small or stuck and figure out what needs to expand and be celebrated.
Annie, founder of Wild Maven Wellness, is traveling for the summer and will return for the moon circle on September 10th. While she’s gone, Stacey from the TSW team will stand in for her to mark the new and full moons during July and August. Gather on Wednesday, August 12th at 7 PM for reflection, ritual, and community. Note: doors close at 7:10pm so we can begin our practice without interruption. We’ll end by 8:30 with time to linger and commune in the space until 9.
Moon circles are donation-based—we suggest a $20 donation, but please do not let finances be a barrier. We invite you to pay what you can. Thank you!
