Trust your inner compass during the Pisces lunar eclipse on the Full Sturgeon Moon!
The August moon is known as the Sturgeon Moon, named for ancient fish that live at the bottoms of oceans, rivers, and lakes. Down there in the deep darkness, they rely on electrical and chemical signals to navigate their world and seek out nourishment, stirring up the sediment at the bottom of the water to find the nuggets of sustenance they are seeking.
We'll draw on these themes and work with different ways of connecting with your intuition when it is tough to see what’s next. We will engage our intuition in a sensory exercise, then we will apply our inner knowing to interpreting cards in an intuitive oracle reading. (NOTE: We will be working with essential oils. If you are sensitive to smells, you can skip that part of our sensory exercise.) Bring a journal and something to write with so that you can respond to journaling prompts to help you sort out your thoughts as we dig deep into our intuition to understand how the oracle cards we pull answer the questions we ask.
Annie, founder of Wild Maven Wellness, is traveling for the summer and will return for the moon circle on September 10th. While she’s gone, Stacey from the TSW team will stand in for her to mark the new and full moons during July and August. Gather on Thursday, August 27th at 7 PM for reflection, ritual, and community. Note: doors close at 7:10pm so we can begin our practice without interruption. We’ll end by 8:30 with time to linger and commune in the space until 9.
Moon circles are donation-based—we suggest a $20 donation, but please do not let finances be a barrier. We invite you to pay what you can. Thank you!
